Hot Dipped Galvanized steel is created by coating steel with a thin layer of zinc to help protect the steel sheet from rusting. The thickness is a measure ranging from G-30 to G-235. The temperature used in the Galvanized sheet metal process is over 850 °F. There are other types of zinc coated steel used to protect from rust as well. They are Galvannealed, Electro-galvanized, Aluminized and Galvalume. Each one has there own benefit.
